  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 150 g softened butter
  • 450 g all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 6 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F). In a mixing bowl, combine flour and baking powder. Cut in softened butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in sugar.
  2. In another bowl, beat eggs with milk and gradually mix into dry ingredients. Knead lightly until you form a soft dough; add more flour if sticky.
  3. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 2 cm thick and cut out discs using a cookie cutter.
  4. Place the discs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 12–15 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Serve warm with butter, jam, or honey.
