  • 1/2 cup heavy cream, room temp
  • 4 oz cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup icing sugar

Instructions

  1. Warm the milk in a saucepan until just warm; sprinkle yeast and let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large bowl, combine granulated sugar, flour, eggs, salt, and softened butter. Add the yeast mixture and mix until combined.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth; let it rise in a greased bowl for about 1 hour until doubled.
  4. Prepare the filling by mixing softened butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle (16×24 inches), spread the filling evenly on top.
  6. Roll tightly into a log and slice into 12 equal pieces; arrange in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. For the frosting, whip together cream cheese, unsalted butter, heavy cream, and icing sugar until smooth; spread generously over warm rolls.
