Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cup (150 g) cake flour
- 1/4 cup (50 g) granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon (5 g) baking powder
- 1 teaspoon (5 g) baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg
- 3/4 cup whole milk
- 1 tablespoon (15 g) vegetable oil
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup filling (red bean paste, Nutella, custard, etc.)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the cake flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat the egg and mix in the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and gently fold until just mixed.
- Preheat your taiyaki pan over medium heat and lightly grease it with oil.
- Pour a small amount of batter into each mold, add your chosen filling on top, then cover with more batter.
- Close the pan and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
- Remove from the pan and let cool slightly before serving warm.
