- 4 slices sourdough or whole grain bread
- 8 ounces brie cheese, sliced
- 1 medium Granny Smith or Honeycrisp apple, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought)
- 4 tablespoons softened butter
- 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
- Fresh thyme for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Gather and slice your ingredients—brie cheese and apple.
- Butter one side of each slice of bread. On the unbuttered side of two slices, layer brie cheese, apple slices, and a spoonful of cranberry sauce.
- Top with remaining bread slices, buttered side up.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and grill the sandwiches for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and the cheese melts.
- Serve warm with a drizzle of honey and fresh thyme if desired.
