Instructions
- Wash and hull the strawberries, then slice them in half.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice until bubbling.
- Lower heat and simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally until slightly thickened.
- Mix cornstarch with a bit of water in a small bowl to form a slurry; gradually add to the strawberry mixture while stirring.
- Cook until thick enough to coat the back of a spoon; cool completely before using.
