- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 cups coarsely crushed pretzels
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup milk
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs mixed with Dijon mustard, and one with crushed pretzels.
- Coat each chicken breast in flour, dip it in the egg mixture, then press into the crushed pretzels for an even coating.
- Place the coated chicken on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- To make the sauce, heat milk in a saucepan, then stir in cheddar cheese until melted. Add additional Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper to taste.
- Serve the chicken hot, drizzled with the creamy mustard-cheddar sauce.
