- 120 ml whole milk
- For the Glaze: 120 g powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 175°C. Grease and line a 23 cm round cake pan with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, beat softened butter and sugar until pale and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in lemon zest and juice until combined.
- Gradually add flour, baking powder, and salt; mix gently until just combined.
- Incorporate milk gradually until batter is smooth.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30–35 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean.
- While baking, whisk together powdered sugar and lemon juice for the glaze.
- Once cooled briefly in the pan, drizzle the glaze over the cake.
