- 1 medium green cabbage (about 2-3 pounds)

- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme or 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Remove damaged outer leaves from the cabbage and slice it into 1-inch thick rounds.
- Arrange cabbage slices on the baking sheet in a single layer, ensuring they are spaced apart.
- In a small bowl, mix together olive oil or melted butter, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, thyme, and red pepper flakes if using.
- Coat both sides of each cabbage slice generously with the garlic-oil mixture using a pastry brush.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, then reduce temperature to 375°F (190°C) and continue roasting for another 15-20 minutes until edges are golden brown and centers are tender.
- Drizzle freshly squeezed lemon juice over the roasted steaks before serving.
