- 4 ripe bananas, sliced lengthwise
- 4 Tbsps unsalted butter
- 1 cup organic brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- Pinch of ground allspice
- 2 tsps vanilla extract (alcohol-free)
- Vanilla ice cream
- Nilla wafer cookies, roughly crushed (Optional)
Instructions
- Slice the ripe bananas lengthwise.
- In a non-stick skillet over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter. Stir in the brown sugar until dissolved, then add cinnamon, nutmeg, sea salt, and vanilla extract.
- Gently place the sliced bananas into the skillet, cooking for about 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and caramelized.
- Serve immediately by scooping vanilla ice cream into bowls and topping with the warm banana mixture. Optionally, sprinkle crushed Nilla wafers on top for added texture.
