Ingredients
- 1 pint strawberries
- 1 cup sugar
- 8 cups water (divided)
- 2 family-size tea bags (or 8 regular bags)
- Ice
- Optional: Sliced lemon and strawberries for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the strawberry syrup by boiling quartered strawberries with 1 cup of water for 10-15 minutes. Strain the mixture to remove pulp, stir in sugar, and boil for an additional minute. Let cool.
- Brew tea by boiling 4 cups of water and steeping tea bags in a heat-proof container for 5 minutes. Discard bags and add remaining cold water.
- Combine cooled strawberry syrup with brewed tea until well mixed.
- Serve over ice in glasses, garnishing with fresh fruit or herbs if desired.
