Instructions
- Mix flour, water, milk, sugar, salt, yeast, and softened butter in a large bowl until combined.
- Knead gently into a ball and refrigerate for one hour.
- Prepare the cold butter layer by beating it between parchment paper into a square; refrigerate.
- Roll dough into a square, place cold butter in the center, and fold corners over it to seal.
- Roll out the dough evenly and fold it to create layers; refrigerate after each fold.
- Shape croissants by rolling dough strips with chocolate filling inside.
- Brush with egg wash and let rise before baking at 400°F (200°C) for about 15 minutes.
