Ingredients

  • 1 can chickpeas (15 oz)
  • 1 can tuna packed in water (5 oz)
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise or plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons finely chopped celery
  • 2 tablespoons minced red onion
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh dill

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt), olive oil, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and optional hot sauce until smooth.
  2. In another bowl, drain and rinse the chickpeas. Add the drained tuna, celery, red onion, dill, and capers (or olives).
  3. Gently fold the dressing into the salad mixture until well combined.
  4. Serve over arugula, as a sandwich filling on whole-grain bread, or with whole-grain crackers.
