- 1 pound fresh strawberries (hulled)
- 2/3 cup fresh-squeezed lemon juice (about 4-5 lemons)
- 3 cups cold water (or sparkling water)
- 1/4 cup sugar (or honey/maple syrup)
- 1/4 cup water (for simple syrup)

Instructions
- Wash the strawberries under cold water and hull them.
- In a small saucepan, combine sugar and 1/4 cup of water; heat until sugar dissolves. Let cool.
- Blend hulled strawberries with cooled syrup until smooth.
- Optional: Strain the strawberry puree through a fine mesh sieve for a smoother texture.
- In a large pitcher, mix the strawberry puree, lemon juice, and cold water (or sparkling water). Stir well.
- Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness if desired.
- Serve over ice and garnish with mint or lemon slices.
