- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 3/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 3 large ripe bananas (mashed)
- 2 large eggs (room temperature)
- 1/2 cup sour cream (room temperature)
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. Prepare a 9×5 loaf pan with non-stick spray and parchment paper.
- In a bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In another bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
- Whisk melted butter and brown sugar together until combined. Mix in mashed bananas, sour cream, and vanilla extract.
- Add eggs one at a time, stirring well after each addition. Gradually incorporate dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined; fold in chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool for ten minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
