Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups water
- 5 tablespoons chilled unsalted butter
- 2 packed tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon fine salt
- 1 1/4 cups plain flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted (for brushing)
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine water, chilled butter, brown sugar, and salt until simmering and the butter is melted.
- Stir in plain flour and vanilla until smooth; allow to cool slightly before adding eggs one at a time.
- Pipe small lengths of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
- Brush with melted butter and roll in cinnamon-sugar mixture while warm.
