  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Flour for dredging
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter (divided)
  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup white apple vinegar
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Cut chicken in half lengthwise to create four thinner pieces. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper, then coat in flour.
  2. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Transfer to a plate.
  3. In the same skillet, add remaining butter, mushrooms, and Italian seasoning. Cook until mushrooms release their moisture, about 5-6 minutes.
  4. Stir in minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about one minute.
  5. Add white apple vinegar to deglaze the pan, scraping browned bits off the bottom. Let simmer for 2-3 minutes until reduced by half.
  6. Pour in heavy cream and return chicken to the skillet. Cook for an additional 5 minutes or until the chicken is fully cooked and sauce thickens slightly. Adjust seasoning if necessary before serving.
