- 2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts
- Salt/Pepper
- 3 teaspoons Italian seasonings
- ⅓ cup flour
- 4 tablespoons Parmesan cheese (shredded)
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 ½ cups chicken broth
- 1 beef bouillon cube (or 1 tsp better than bouillon)
- 1 teaspoon low sodium soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon EACH: Dried thyme, mustard powder
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 10 whole cloves garlic
- 3 tablespoons flour
- ½ cup heavy cream
- ½ cup Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- 1. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasonings. In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Cook the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- 2. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic cloves until golden brown (about 2-3 minutes).
- 3. Sprinkle flour into the skillet and stir well. Gradually whisk in chicken broth, ensuring no lumps form.
- 4. Add bouillon cube, soy sauce, onion powder, thyme, and mustard powder; stir to combine.
- 5. Return chicken to the skillet, cover with sauce, and simmer on low heat for 15 minutes until cooked through.
- 6. Stir in heavy cream and optional Parmesan cheese; let simmer for an additional 5 minutes until thickened.
