- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2–3 tablespoons milk (adjust for consistency)
- ½ cup crushed chocolate cookies
- Extra mini chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let sit until foamy (5 minutes).
- Stir in sugar, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla until mixed.
- Add flour and salt; mix to form a soft dough.
- Knead on a floured surface until smooth; add blue food coloring while kneading.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled (1 to 1½ hours).
- Prepare filling by mixing softened butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, crushed cookies, and chocolate chips in another bowl.
- Roll out dough into a rectangle; spread filling evenly over it.
- Roll up tightly from one long edge; cut into 12 rolls.
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish; let rise again (30–45 minutes).
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
- For icing, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth; gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla while adjusting consistency with milk.
- Drizzle icing over warm rolls and top with crushed cookies.
