Instructions
- Slice the oranges into ¼-inch rounds using a sharp knife or mandoline.
- In a saucepan, combine sugar and water, heating over medium until dissolved and boiling.
- Reduce heat and add orange slices in a single layer; simmer for 45–60 minutes until translucent.
- Carefully remove slices with tongs and place on a wire rack to cool for 24–48 hours until tacky but set.
- Optionally, roll cooled slices in sugar for an extra touch of sweetness.
