  • ⅔ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ teaspoon fine sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup granulated sugar (for topping)
  • 3 Tablespoons light brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 ½ Tablespoon ground cinnamon (for topping)

Instructions

  1. 1. Activate the yeast by stirring warm milk and yeast together; let sit until foamy (about 5 minutes).
  2. 2. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg, melted butter, and vanilla. Set aside.
  3. 3. In your stand mixer bowl, combine 3 cups of flour, sugar, salt, and cinnamon; mix gently.
  4. 4. Add the foamy yeast mixture to the wet ingredients; whisk well.
  5. 5. Combine wet and dry ingredients in the stand mixer; mix until dough forms.
  6. 6. Knead on medium-low speed until smooth but slightly sticky (about 5 minutes).
  7. 7. Let dough rise in a lightly greased bowl covered with plastic wrap until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
