  • 2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • ¼ cup flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup white apple vinegar
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 1/3 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Juice of 2 tablespoons fresh lemon

Instructions

  1. Slice chicken in half lengthwise and pound to about ½ inch thick.
  2. Season chicken with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper; dredge in flour.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear chicken until golden brown.
  4. Remove chicken and deglaze the pan with white apple vinegar; reduce by half.
  5. Add butter, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and chicken broth; boil briefly.
  6. If desired, thicken sauce with cornstarch mixed with cold water.
  7. Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan until melted; return chicken to skillet and spoon sauce over it.
  8. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes before finishing with fresh lemon juice.
