  • 3 large yellow or sweet onions
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast by combining warm water, yeast, and sugar in a bowl; let sit until foamy.
  2. Mix bread flour and salt in another bowl.
  3. Combine wet and dry ingredients; knead until smooth.
  4. Allow the dough to rise until doubled in size.
  5. Caramelize sliced onions in a skillet with butter and olive oil over low heat.
  6. Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C) and prepare your baking surface.
  7. Roll out the dough on parchment paper, top with caramelized onions and feta.
