- 3 large yellow or sweet onions
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
- Optional: 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Activate the yeast by combining warm water, yeast, and sugar in a bowl; let sit until foamy.
- Mix bread flour and salt in another bowl.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients; knead until smooth.
- Allow the dough to rise until doubled in size.
- Caramelize sliced onions in a skillet with butter and olive oil over low heat.
- Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C) and prepare your baking surface.
- Roll out the dough on parchment paper, top with caramelized onions and feta.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden brown.
