Ingredients
- 1 ½ lbs sirloin steak or ribeye, cut into bite-sized cubes
- 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 8 oz medium pasta shells
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the pasta shells in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve ¼ cup pasta water, then drain and set aside.
- Pat the steak cubes dry and toss with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper until coated.
- Heat olive oil in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steak bites for about 2–3 minutes per side until browned; add butter and garlic for the last minute.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium; add butter and garlic, sautéing until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream and simmer gently.
- Stir in cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, paprika, black pepper, and salt until melted.
- Add cooked pasta shells to the sauce; mix well and adjust consistency with reserved pasta water if needed.
- Top with seared steak bites and garnish with parsley before serving.
